Rather than having to go to Google and search every week for the same surnames or other search terms, wouldn't it be great if Google alerted you of any updated or new sites related to your search? Instead of you going to Google, Google comes to you?

Google Alerts is one such program that more and more genealogists are learning how to use to help their own research. In this Explorinar, you'll learn:

- what a Google Alert is
- how to set up a Google Alert
- the various notification methods available with Google Alerts
- creative ways to use Google Alerts

What's an Explorinar? A casual exploration of a website, an application or some other program that could be useful to genealogists and family historians.
