Finding Records of the Atomic Energy Commission

The Friends of the National Archives Southeast Region are pleased to sponsor the presentation "Finding Records of the Atomic Energy Commission“ with Shane Bell, archivist at the National Archives at Atlanta,  on June 4th, 2013. Please note that this month the webinar will be on the 1st Tuesday instead of the usual 2nd Tuesday.

Summary: The Atomic Energy Commission and the Secret City of Oakridge at the National Archives of Atlanta is the focus of this discussion. Learn where you can find the information spread about a variety of record groups.

Presenter: Shane Bell graduated from Clayton State University in 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts in history.  He recently completed his master’s thesis and graduated in May 2011 with a Master of Arts in Liberal Studies, History Concentration, from Clayton State University.  He has been employed with the National Archives at Atlanta since 2007; in June 2011, he assumed his new duties as an Archivist with the office.
