The Friends of the
National Archives Southeast Region are pleased to sponsor the presentation
"Southern Home Front,
WW II” with Nathan Jordan, Archivist at the National Archives at Atlanta, on Tuesday, September
9th, 2014.
Summary: Learn about the
records of the National Archives at Atlanta that relate to our communities
during World War II. Even those of you will remember how the war affected every
day life will be surprised at the massive set of records that document the
period.
Presenter: Nathan Jordan is an Archives Specialist at
the National Archives at Atlanta. A native of Monticello, GA, he has a
master's degree in Public History from Georgia State University and a
bachelor's degree in History from the United States Military Academy
at West Point. Along with his three years of service with the
National Archives, Nathan's professional experience includes several years in
the private sector as a project manager and six and a half years as an Army
officer, where he completed deployments to the Middle East and
Afghanistan. His military awards and decorations include the Army Parachutist
Badge, the Combat Action Badge, three Army Commendation Medals, and the Bronze
Star Medal. Nathan, his wife and daughter live in Atlanta.
