  • Webinar Description: Manuscript collections are a great resource for all genealogists. But knowing what they are and where to find them can be a challenge. This presentation will give the you the knowledge you need to find manuscript collections housed in archives, libraries, historical societies and any other repository in the US. Manuscript collections can be a gold mine of genealogical information. This presentation will help you locate manuscript collections both online and at local repositories.

  • Presenter: Melissa Barker is a Certified Archivist/Records Manager, currently the Houston County, Tennessee Archivist. She is also a Professional Genealogist since 2004. Melissa lectures, teaches and writes about the genealogy process with an emphasis on archives research and records preservation. She writes a blog entitled "A Genealogist in the Archives".
