Presenter: Angela Packer McGhie

Date: Tuesday, May 24, 2016

Time: 8:30 p.m. EASTERN Daylight Time

Cost: Free and open to the public

Webinar Description: Although a business plan greatly improves the likelihood of reaching one’s business goals, most genealogists do not currently have a formal written business plan. This presentation is designed to motivate genealogists to create a personalized plan using a template based on ideas from the Small Business Administration. Participants will be encouraged to set a clear vision, establish goals and plan strategies for their unique business offerings.

About the Presenter: Angela Packer McGhie is a professional genealogist, instructor and lecturer. She is a course coordinator at the Institute of Genealogy and Historical Research, and the Salt Lake Institute of Genealogy, as well as an instructor at the Genealogical Institute on Federal Records, the Genealogical Research Institute of Pittsburgh, and the Virtual Institute of Genealogical Research.

Angela served as the administrator of the ProGen Study Program from 2008-2014 and is now on the board of directors. She is a past president of the National Capital Area Chapter of APG, a contributing author for the APG Quarterly, and was honored with a formal certificate of appreciation from the APG in 2010 for her leadership and service.
