Free July Webinar! "Music in the First World War" with Andrew Bullen

Did you miss your local genealogical society meeting this month? Fountaindale Public Library’s Genealogy Club July lecture is live and available for free through August 13, 2018.

World War I has been called the most musical of all wars. Considered by some to be 'The Golden Age of Sheet Music', Mr. Bullen highlights British and American war experiences through popular period titles and will discuss his one-of-a-kind sheet music digitization project which is bringing the music of the Great War era back to life. Check out Bullen's WWI Music Digitization Project online for free -

If you need some help researching your Great War ancestors, you'll want to check out the library's five part series "Here Come the Doughboys!  Tracing Your World War I Military Ancestors."  This webinar series is free for researchers through 2020.

This program is part of World War I and America, a two-year national initiative of The Library of America presented in partnership with The Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History, the National World War I Museum and Memorial and other organizations, with generous support from The National Endowment for the Humanities.
