National Library of Scotland Presents at Scottish ViC

The National Library of Scotland's Enquiries Assistant, Elaine Brown, will provide an in-depth look at the wealth of resources available at the National Library of Scotland which will help you to reconstruct the social history of your Scottish ancestors.

Elaine provides a comprehensive overview of the online and offline resources at the National Library of Scotland, helps you see how you can use these in conjunction with the statutory records and reconstruct the social story of your Scottish ancestor.

These resources include moving images, post office directories, maps, trades directories and more.

The Scottish ViC takes place on Saturday, January 26th, 2019. The pre-recorded presentations will be released on a timed basis, just like an in-person conference. Following the presentation, the presenters will be available for a LIVE Q&A in the closed Facebook group - or via email for those not comfortable with Facebook.

Presentations will be available for review until midnight on Thursday, January 31, 2019 to allow for time zone challenges and to allow people in the west of the continent or in the southern hemisphere to be able to watch the presentations during waking hours.

In addition to presentations, there is a virtual marketplace where vendors will be offering discounts on their products or services which will enhance your genealogical research. All for just $99 cad (about $74 usd)
