DNA webinar on Wednesday - PLUS big door prizes - PLUS DNA announcements

We've got a fantastic webinar planned for Wednesday on using DNA tools as part of our research. Sorenson Molecular Genealogy Foundation's Ugo Perego will present "The Power od DNA in Unlocking Family Relationships".

This webinar will provide a general overview on how genetic testing can be of great assistance to family historians to trace, verify, expand, and link genealogical records and pedigrees. Particularly, we will cover the paternally-inherited Y chromosome and the maternally-inherited mitochondrial DNA with the purposes of showing how these two markers can play a powerful role in the search for our ancestors.

The live webinar is scheduled for Wednesday, July 13, 2011, so register today to reserve your virtual seat. Registration is free.

Door Prizes
I wish I were not hosting this event so I could be eligible for these terrific door prizes:
  • Free DNA Test (Y-DNA or mtDNA - winner gets to choose). Valued at $179.
  • Two - one-hour free consultations with one of GeneTree.com's DNA consultants. Valued at $49.95 each.
  • Three - "I Seek Dead People" T-Shirts. Valued at $12.99.
Thanks in advance to Sorenson Molecular Genealogy Foundation and GeneTree.com! Of course, you must be present during the live webinar to be eligible to win.

Two Big DNA Announcements
During the webinar, we will make two announcements related to DNA and Legacy Family Tree. (If you've been anxious to record your mt-DNA results in Legacy, or even to purchase a DNA kit from us, you'll be delighted with the announcements. How's that for a hint?)
