Maritime Records at the National Archives at Atlanta


The Friends of the National Archives-Southeast Region, Inc., are please to sponsor the presentation "Maritime Records at the National Archives at Atlanta" with Sara Brewer, on September 10th, 2012.

Summary: The maritime history of the South is a treasure trove of exciting information related to ships, lighthouses, and sailors. Learn about historical records from the U.S. Customs Service, the U.S. Coast Guard, and the Bureau of Marine Inspection and Navigation held at the National Archives at Atlanta


Presenter: Sara Brewer graduated summa cum laude from the University of Georgia in 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts in history.  She received her M.L.I.S. degree, with an archival concentration, from the University of South Carolina in 2009 and her Certificate of Graduate Study in 2010.  She began working for the National Archives at Atlanta as a student in the summer of 2006 and she became a full-time employee in July 2010
