Free UGA Webinar -- Ginny Ackerson - "Hot Off the Press"

UGA is pleased to announce that our free monthly Virtual Chapter meetings will now be presented through Go to Webinar. This format will allow PC, MAC, iPhone, iPad and Android users to participate.

Our special guest speaker this month, on April 18th at 7:00 p.m. MST, will be Ginny Ackerson.

Her topic will be "Hot Off the Press"

Newspapers are valuable resources for the genealogist. You will learn how to find what newspapers were printed in the time period you are researching, where they are housed today, and how to access them.

Ginny Ackerson has been researching for over 40 years. She has researched and published several family books. A mission to the Church and Family History Mission brought her to Salt Lake. Her educational background includes degrees in education and nursing. She has taught research classes in the community and church arenas and currently teaches for the BYU FHC Sunday classes. As a columnist for a local newspaper, Serve Daily, she teaches many people through Ginny's Genealogical Gems. She has presented at many family history conferences. Ginny is currently a board member of the Utah Genealogical Association.
