Researching European Archives from Your Easy Chair

Learn which European archives have online records and how to access them from the comfort of home. With more information coming online and greater access to records, there’s never been a better time jump across the pond to research your European roots.

This session will provide an in-depth look at how to locate and access online archival records from Europe from the comfort of your home (and for free). The session will cover FamilySearch collections as well as databases from dedicated archival sites in both Eastern and Western Europe and those published by genealogical societies and other organizations.

Learn search tips and tricks to find even your most elusive ancestors and how to keep track of both positive and negative search results.
