Karen Clifford is an Accredited Genealogist® researcher and teacher with three genealogy credentials, Midwestern Region, Southern States Region, and the Mountain West Region. She has been working in family history and teaching classes in college genealogy and computer technology for more than 30 years in California and Utah and presently teaches at Brigham Young University where her husband, Dr. Ray Clifford, is an Associate Dean of the College of Humanities. She has written eight textbooks on genealogy and is President of GRA (Genealogy Research Associates, Inc.), which provides genealogy services for others. She has served as Director of the Monterey, California Family History Center and on Boards of Directors of many organizations, including the Utah Genealogy Association, Federated Genealogical Societies, and The International Commission for the Accreditation of Professional Genealogists, and has given 100s of family history presentations.
